About the Artist

Raised in London and New Jersey, Gaby Rudy is an abstract painter whose work bridges art, science, and personal experience. With a background in molecular biology, Rudy explores the intersection of human consciousness, emotional experience, and the natural world. Her scientific lens informs a deep appreciation for the internal processes—such as hormonal shifts and neural connections—that shape our emotional landscapes.

"My work explores the emotional landscapes that shape our perception of reality. Through layered coats of oil paint, I deconstruct personal experiences into textured, abstract forms that reflect the interplay between memory, emotion, and consciousness. The act of layering paint mimics how our minds process, conceal, and reveal memories and emotions. As these layers build, they evoke the fluidity and complexity of human perception over time."
